This course is for anyone who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of different situations, including community groups, sports clubs, and within the workplace.

Duration

4 Hours face to face, including both theory and practical

Requirements 

– Complete a written incident report in English

– Follow safe work procedures

– Get down onto the floor to complete 2 mins of uninterrupted CPR on our training Mannequins

Training

– How to respond to an emergency situation including; identifying & assessing dangers, assessing the casualty, recognising the need for CPR and seeking assistance from emergency services

– How to correctly perform CPR

– How to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

– How to accurately observe, record and report details of the incident 

Assessments

Practical 1 – Perform 2min of uninterrupted CPR on an adult & an Infant

(adult resuscitation must be completed on the floor)

Practical 2 – Respond to at least one simulated first aid scenario including the use of an AED

Written 1 – Complete a workplace incident form 

Written 2 – Multichoice quiz
